*Important Note: You must pre-register for each class, each week that you are interested in attending. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a spot and may be turned away if the class is already full.

It is recommended that men over the age of 40 and women over the age of 50 consult a physician before beginning any exercise of fitness program. It is also recommended that anyone over the age of 50 receive annual physical evaluations by their physician. Follow the exercises carefully and exercise at your own pace., If you feel any strain, acute pain, dizziness, light-headedness, stop exercise and inform a staff person. Follow up by consulting your physician.
Fitness waiver must be signed before any participation in any fitness program in our building. Please obtain one from our front desk.

Punchcards are being implemented for all Fitness Classes. Punchcards are valid for a limited number of classes and do not expire.
All General Fitness classes are $20 for 10 classes for members ($30 for non-members).

Cardio Drumming 1 - 2
Provides a moderate workout using fitness balls and drumsticks. Instructor: Cindy Ficorelli

Dance Aerobics 1 - 2
Provides a moderate to vigorous cardiovascular dance workout with tunes from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Each class includes balance and strength training. There is a FREE 15 minute warm up that the instructor holds before class - 8:30am start. The regular class starts at 8:45am. Instructor Alice Andrews

Enhance Fitness 2 - 3 - 4
This class is a low-cost, evidence-based group exercise program, that helps older adults of all levels of fitness become more active, energized, and empowered to sustain independent lives. The program is taught by Laura Chapman and brought to us with support from the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan. In a typical class, participants will experience:
· A 5-minute warm-up to get the blood flowing to the muscles.
· A 20-minute aerobic workout that gets participants moving, or a walking workout to lively music that the class chooses
· A 5-minute cool-down
· A 20 minute strength training workout with soft ankle and wrist weights (0-20 lbs.)
· A 10-minute stretching workout to keep the muscles flexible
· Balance exercises throughout the class
· Lots of opportunities to make new friends and acquaintances

Available for those who like to work out on their own. The room includes a treadmill, NU-STEP, exercise bikes and 12-station gym. To schedule an appointment for an orientation, call the office at 810-626-2135.
$2.00 per day or $50 for a 6 month pass for members ($3 drop-in for non-members)

If you want to gain energy, build strength and endurance and feel better, this is the class for you. We use props (yoga balls, chairs and the wall) to gently and safely open the body while helping to develop balance and bring whole body healing. If you have never tried yoga before or are a practicing yogi, this class accommodates all levels of flexibility. Taught by Laura Chapman.
